As soon as Tina screamed, Jeff saw Aaron’s razor blade tipped tail coming towards him. He jumped out of the way just in time to see it land next to him. He made sure not to touch the blades as he walked over to Aaron and Aster. Everybody else came closer but they were standing behind Jeff.

“What’s happening to them,” Nikki said, worried.

“I don’t know, but it can’t be good,” Michael said.

“Krenif…you….won’t….get….away….with….this,” Aster said.

“Krenif is somehow in their minds,” Nikki said wide eyed.

“Who’s Krenif,” Tina asked.

“She’s an evil dragon that wants to control Aster and kill Aaron,” Michael said.

“Just like Karayan and Shyama,” Rachael said.

“You mean those two dragons that want Jeff and you,” Nikki said.

“Yes those are the ones,” Tommy said.

“Get….back….Erebus,” Aaron said.

“THAT CAN’T BE GOOD,” Jeff yelled.

“What do you mean, and who’s Erebus,” Nikki said.

“Erebus is the evil dragon inside of me, if he’s there along with Krenif, Aaron and Aster are both in trouble and I think I know where they are,” Jeff said

“What place are they in,” Tina said.

“The same place that Rachael, Tommy, and I went to before, but first I need to take this stupid cast off,” Jeff said as he looked at his cast.

Jeff soon formed an ice blade in his hand and started cutting the cast and it soon fell on the floor with a light thud. He soon moved his left hand and arm around some and was glad that it was finally healed. He then took the bandage on his right arm off and threw it on the floor. After he did this, he turned around and noticed a faint glow coming from his closet. He walked over to it and opened it to find that his safe was glowing. Everybody saw this and walked over to the closet as well while Nikki stayed over by Aaron and Aster to keep an eye on them. Jeff carefully opened his safe and pulled out another necklace. Instead of having a dragon pendant on it, this necklace had a pendant that was in the shape of a heart and had a tiny picture of a dragon’s head on it. They all noticed that this was the cause of the glowing. Jeff let a tear come out of his eye as he was looking at it.

“Hey Jeff, what is that thing,” Michael asked.

“It’s a dragon heart pendant,” Jeff said.

“Is it yours,” Nikki asked as she came over to look at it.

“No, it used to be Jason’s, he got it for his seventh birthday and was told that it was a very rare crystal and very special,” Tommy said.

“Who’s Jason, your older brother,” Nikki asked.

“No, John is his older brother,” Rachael said.

“Than who is Jason,” Michael asked.

“Jason was….he was my twin brother,” Jeff said as his voice cracked some and another tear came out.

“Your twin, but I didn’t know you had a twin, what happened to him,” Tina said shocked.

“He died ten years ago tomorrow,” Jeff said.

“I’m so sorry about that, what happened,” Nikki asked.

“We were having a picnic with our family at a park and stuff and the two of us went off somewhere to play. We came upon a crevice that turned into a cave system underground and it was roped off so nobody could fall in and get hurt. We were just playing around and having fun and of course trying to get a good look into the crevice to see if anything was down there. There were rumors that there was a creature living in there and we wanted to see if they were right. While we were doing so, a small earthquake happened and Jason lost his balance and fell into the crevice. I grabbed his hand and was trying to pull him up and we were both crying. We could hear John and Stacey calling for us that lunch was ready. While I was trying to pull Jason up, I looked below him into the crevice and saw two huge black eyes appear out of nowhere. Those eyes were so dark and lifeless that it felt like they were burrowing into the depths of my very soul. The eyes also had a reptilian shape to them and I now know that it was a dragon that was down there. I was so scared that Jason started slipping out of my grip some. I was also starting to slip as well and I tried to find something to grab onto with my legs. I held on tighter and for some reason, his pendant started to glow some and he took his free hand and took the pendant off and gave it to me. He just had a smile on his face and the last thing he said that everything will be alright and that he would be watching over me. He soon let go of my hand and fell towards the dragon and disappeared. I just yelled out his name as I started to fall over the edge and John had grabbed my legs just in time. He pulled me up with the help of Stacey and our parents came running over as fast as possible when they heard me scream. They wanted to know what happened and where Jason was and all I could do was cry and just point at the crevice. Rescue teams searched that crevice and caverns for days and couldn’t find one trace of Jason’s body, all they could find were some tattered clothes covered in blood. Nobody knows what happened to him to this day except for me,” Jeff said.

“I am so sorry about your brother, but how can that crystal be glowing,” Nikki said.

“I have been wondering that my whole life, but now I think that this crystal is tied in with the dragons somehow,” Jeff said as he put the necklace on and went back over to Aaron and Aster.

“Jeff what are you thinking of doing,” Tommy said as he walked up to him.

“I’m going to go in there and try to save them from Krenif and Erebus,” Jeff said grimly.

“But that’s suicide, you’re still weak from the last battle and how do you intend to go there,” Rachael said.

“I have an idea,” Jeff said as he smiled.

“Well, if you’re going than so am I,” Tommy said.

“Same here,” the others said.

“Listen, I have to go in there alone, you guys will have to stay here and keep an eye on us,” Jeff said.

“But why,” Tina said.

“Because whatever is happening with Aaron and Aster in there is also happening out here, or did you forget. Plus I think the same might happen to me,” Jeff said as he pointed to Aaron and Aster.

They all looked at them and said okay. Jeff just stood there as he closed his eyes and started concentrating and a white aura enveloped him. He went over to Aaron and touched his arm, careful not to touch any of the blades coming from his scales. When he touched Aaron, a flash of light happened and Jeff fell to the floor and everybody else ran to see if he was alright. They were relieved that he was alright. Meanwhile, Jeff opened his eyes to find the same foggy mist that he saw before and started looking for Aaron and Aster. While he was looking, he heard screams coming from in front of him and started running. He decided to use his wind ability to get rid of the mist and did so. The next thing he saw was Aaron and Aster lying on the ground and Erebus and a very large, very black dragon next to him. They were both smiling as they were walking over to Aaron and Aster. Jeff just got mad at this and fire, electricity, and ice were starting to go around him rapidly. Wind started coming from him also and going towards them. Erebus and Krenif noticed the wind blowing and were looking around to see where it was coming from

“Where issss thissss wind coming from,” Erebus said.

“I don’t know, but it can’t be good,” Krenif said.

“Hey ugly and uglier,” Jeff yelled.

They both looked over to where Jeff yelled and the next thing they saw was a giant wall of electrified fire and ice coming towards them. They were so surprised by this that they didn’t have time to react to the oncoming attack. It hit them with so much force that they both went flying sideways and Erebus landed on Krenif when they hit the ground a few yards away. Jeff soon ran up to Aaron and Aster to see if they were alright and they still had the blades out on their scales. He just wished that he could do something about the blades and thought of something. He touched Aaron and Aster on their heads and started concentrating. He soon had a white aura come around him and he sent a little bit into Aaron and Aster. While he was doing this, he saw the diamonds on their hands start to glow some and he was wondering what was happening. He soon found out when energy was released in a small shock wave and sent him flying back a few feet.  

“Man, what was that all about,” Jeff said as he got back up, rubbed his head some, and walked back over to Aaron and Aster.

He soon noticed that he had all of his energy back and saw the blades on Aaron’s and Aster’s bodies starting to retreat and they started to wake up. He helped them up one at a time and they both started to shake the drowsiness from being knocked out.

“Ugh, what happened to us,” Aaron said.

“Yeah, Jeff what are you doing here and where are we,” Aster said.

“I don’t know where we are, but I came here to save your guys’ butts from Erebus and I think that’s Krenif under him over there,” Jeff said as he pointed over to Erebus and Krenif.

“Great, now I remember, but how did you do it,” Aaron said.

“Oh, nothing, I just used up the rest of my energy to create a wall of electrified fire and ice and sent it towards them,” Jeff said.

“But how are you still standing,” they both said simultaneously.

“For some reason while I was trying to heal you two, there was some kind of backlash of energy with my powers and the power of your diamonds and gave me back my energy,” Jeff said.

“That’s weird, hey what’s that crystal that you’re wearing?” Aster said as he pointed at the dragon heart crystal around Jeff’s neck.

“Oh this, it’s called the dragon heart crystal, it used to be my brother’s and I think it is somehow tied in with our powers,” Jeff said as he held it and it started glowing some along with Jeff’s dragon pendant and the two dragon stones that were on Aaron’s and Aster’s hands.

“Do you mean your older brother?”  Aster said.

“No, it belonged to my twin brother,” Jeff said.

“I didn’t know you had a twin, where is he,” Aaron said.

“I’ll tell you later, right now we need to get out of here,” Jeff said.

While they were talking, Erebus and Krenif regained consciousness and looked at them. They soon got up and roared in anger. This got their attention and they turned to face Erebus and Krenif. Krenif and Erebus let out a large stream of black fire at them and they were getting worried. Jeff just stepped in front of the blast and started to block it with his hands and soon started to absorb it. Aster and Aaron were just watching wide eyed as Jeff was doing this and soon enough, they could feel the heat coming off of Jeff. After Erebus and Krenif stopped breathing the fire, they looked in amazement at Jeff just standing there with black fire going all around him. Jeff just concentrated as much as possible and formed the fire into a concentrated ball of fire and shot it at them. They both moved to the side and the attack went right between them. They were knocked over some from the shock wave of the attack and just looked wide eyed at Jeff as he fell to one knee. Aaron and Aster went to his side and helped him up.

“Jeff, that was incredible, how did you do that attack,” Aster said.

“I don’t know, but I had to use up all of my energy to do it,” Jeff said weakly.

“That attack you did must’ve taken up a lot of energy to use,” Aaron said.

“Very impressssive Jeff, but I can ssssensssse that you have very little energy left and they don’t have that much energy either,” Erebus said smiling.

“So this is Jeff, the half breed with the power of the ancestors inside of him,” Krenif said.

“Yes I am, and you must be Krenif, your brothers, Bethuel and Ignatius, told me much about you,” Jeff said.

“How do you know my brothers,” Krenif said as she noticed the crystal on Jeff’s neck, “and how did you get the dragon heart crystal.”

“OH, Bethuel’s soul combined with me and Ignatius’s soul combined with my cousin. As for this crystal, it used to belong to my twin brother who died 10 years ago,” Jeff said.

“You mean Jasssson,” Erebus said smiling sinisterly and this shocked Jeff.

“How…how… how do you know his name,” Jeff said.

“That issss eassssy, I wassss born out of the ssssorrow inside of you after he died, don’t you remember that you two created me, I wassss able to manifesssst mysssself into my pressssent form you ssssee now after my massssterssss Karayan and Sssshyama had you infected,” Erebus said smiling and Jeff’s eyes went wide with shock as the memories of that day came back to him in a flash.

“I remember now, Jason and I liked dragons so much, that we both created our own versions of dragons. We worked on the idea of what we would look like if we were dragons. He liked a white dragon with a light purple underbelly, purple claws and purple wings and had speed and knowledge. I liked a white dragon with a light blue underbelly, blue claws, and dark blue wings and had strength and wisdom. We also made a dragon that was a combination of both and had a light blue and purple underbelly, one color going down each side with claws and wings to match along with the eyes, dark purple on one eye and dark blue on the other eye and had the powers of both of our dragons. And we both agreed to name him Erebus. After he was killed by the dragon all those years ago, I put the sad feelings I felt after what happened that day and over the years, when my grandparents died and my uncle, you became stronger. I just started pushing you into the back of my head and forgot all about you,” Jeff said.

“Well this is a surprise, so you were the other boy that was trying to save him from being my lunch,” Krenif said.

“What do you mean by that,” Aaron and Aster said together.

Jeff took a closer look at Krenif’s eyes and a startling revelation came to him. He was looking at the same cold dead eyes that he saw in the crevice ten years ago. The same eyes that cut through him to his very soul. He soon felt a searing pain in his left arm and looked at it and saw a black fire go around it and white scales forming on his arm. When the fire reached his hand, his fingernails turned a light purple and went to the tips of his fingers and turned into claws. He just fell to his knees again and started crying about this and Aaron and Aster just knelt beside him.

“Jeff, you’ve seen her before,” Aaron said.

“And what happened to your arm,” Aster said.

“Yes, but I only saw her eyes, she was the one that killed Jason, when I saw the two of you fighting and getting along, it brought back memories of Jason and me doing the same. As for my arm, the power inside of me changed it,” Jeff said through sobs.

“You monster,” Aster said to Krenif.

“Why thank you Aster, I’ll take that as a compliment,” Krenif said smiling.

While Aaron and Aster were trying to calm Jeff down, Erebus and Krenif looked at each other and smiled sinisterly and breathed a blast of black fire at them. They couldn’t do anything because they were too weak. When the ball of fire started to get closer, the dragon heart crystal around Jeff started glowing brightly and a large blast of light came from it. When this happened, the fire attack from Krenif and Erebus was stopped and when the light faded, Jeff, Aaron, and Aster saw three figures standing in front of them. They recognized the figures as two dragons on the left and the right and what looked like a human teenager in between them. Jeff recognized the dragon on the right as being Bethuel and he was thankful that he was there, but the dragon on the left and the teenager in the middle were a mystery. Krenif and Erebus were stupefied by this, and when they saw the other three appear, they got angry.

“Hello Erebus, hello sister,” Bethuel said.

“Bethuel, what are you doing here,” Erebus said.

“It’s really nice to see you also brother,” Krenif said with a sneer.

Aaron’s and Aster’s eyes went wide when they heard Bethuel and Krenif say this and just looked at Jeff.

“What?” Jeff said.

“Did you know that those two were brother and sister,” Aaron said.

“Hey I just found out about that when I had that dream in the hospital ok,” Jeff said.

“Well, you could have told us, and who are the other two,” Aster said.

“I don’t know, but they look vaguely familiar,” Jeff said as he looked back at them and they turned around and walked towards them.

The dragon on the left looked like no other dragon that they had ever seen, its scales weren't just one or two colors, but a multitude of colors ranging from every color in the rainbow and in between. He also seemed bigger than Bethuel and Krenif possibly combined. They then looked at the teenager in the middle but couldn’t make out his face because it was in the shadows of Bethuel and the other dragon. They could only tell that the teenager was smiling along with Bethuel and the other dragon. When they got to them, the teenager stepped forward and helped Jeff up. The face that Jeff saw was like his own and he thought he was looking into a mirror and he started to cry some. The teenager was just smiling widely at this.

“Hey bro, miss me,” he said.

“Jason is that really you, I thought you were dead,” Jeff said as he started to smile weakly and Aaron and Aster just looked at each other widely and back at Jeff and the other kid.

“Yeah bro it is,” Jason said.

After he said this, Jeff just grabbed him and hugged him and just started sobbing uncontrollably. Jason just started laughing some and crying also as he returned the hug. They just stood there for a few minutes while Aaron and Aster were wondering what was going on and got up and walked over to them. Bethuel and the other dragon were just smiling at the scene.

“Hey Jeff do you know this guy,” Aaron asked and Jeff stepped back some, whipping the tears from his face and laughing a little.

“Yeah I do, Aaron, Aster, I would like you to meet my twin brother Jason,” Jeff said smiling.

“Hi Aster, hi Aaron, it’s nice to finally meet you,” Jason said.

“But we overheard that you were dead, how is it possible that you’re here with us,” Aster said confused.

“It’s true, I am dead, but I was able to get here with my friend here through the dragon heart crystal,” Jason said as he pointed at the crystal and at the multicolored dragon beside him.

“Hello Jeff, it is nice to see you again,” the dragon said and bowed his head some.

When the dragon said this, more memories came back to him in a flash and his eyes went wide as he looked at the dragon and another tear came out of his eye and he was smiling a little. Aaron and Aster were wondering what was going on and just looked back at forth from Jeff back to the others.

“Amadeus is that really you,” Jeff said.

“Yes it is old friend, yes it is,” Amadeus said smiling.

Jeff just ran to him and hugged him around his long neck and was starting to laugh again and tears were running down his cheeks and onto Amadeus’s scales.

“You know this dragon,” both Aaron and Aster said at the same time.

“Yes I do, I know both of these dragons. That one is Bethuel, Arnon’s father, and his soul fused with me and this is Amadeus,” Jeff said as he turned around.

“Did he fuse with Jason’s soul or something,” Aaron asked.

“No, no he didn’t, we kind of met him in dreams when we were younger and drew pictures of him. We both thought that we made him up but after I died, I found out that he was real, and I found out something interesting about him,” Jason said.

“Really what’s that,” Aster said.

“Well, he was the one that created the master dragon stone and the other ones, the dragon heart crystal, and he was the one that had the power that Jeff here now has,” Jason said.

“So you’re saying that he’s like what, the oldest dragon,” Jeff said.

“Yes he is,” Jason said.

When Krenif and Erebus heard this, the expressions on their faces went from pure anger to pure terror. Krenif soon got angrier at this and started walking towards them.

“How can you be here, you died long before even I was born Amadeus,” she said.

He turned around along with Jason and Bethuel and just looked at her. He had a concerned look on his face and just stood there.

“Krenif, when you decided to seek out the dragon stones and infected Karayan with your evil, I decided to take action and seek out two kids that would be perfect for the power that I had,” Amadeus said.

“So you’re saying that my meeting with Arnon and Alvarie was all planned,” Jeff said.

“Yes it was, I could somehow sense that you had a good heart inside of you along with Jason here and your cousin and friends,” Amadeus said.

“And what about us and our friends,” Aster said.

“I did that also through Bethuel here,” he said.

“But why did you chose me and my friends, why not someone else,” Aaron said.

“Because you are special, you are the only one, or should I say ones now, that are able to access the full power of the master dragon stone,” Amadeus said.

“Let’s get out of here Erebus, they are too powerful,” Krenif said.

“We will ssssee you all again ssssoon, and Jeff you will ssssoon be mine,” Erebus said.

They both disappeared in a flash of light and were laughing sinisterly. Amadeus, Jason, and Bethuel turned back to Jeff, Aaron, and Aster and were all just smiling. Jason came over to Jeff and put his hand on his shoulder. They were all just smiling at each other. All of a sudden, a portal appeared beside them.

“It was nice seeing you again Jason, but do you have to go,” Jeff said.

“Oh, we won’t be going anywhere, we’re going with you,” Jason said smiling.

“But how are you going to do that,” Aaron asked.

“Easily, we’re going to fuse with Jeff like Bethuel here did,” Amadeus said.

“That’s cool, now let’s go home,” Aster said as he raced Aaron through the portal. Before Aster got to the portal, Aaron had tackled him and they both started wrestling into the portal while everybody else was watching.

“Are those two always like that,” Bethuel asked.

“Yes they are,” Jeff said.

“Let’s get going,” Jason said and all four of them walk to the portal.

After a flash of light, Jeff, Aaron, and Aster wake up with Tommy, Rachael, Tina, Nikki, and Michael looking at them. They also noticed three other people there as well.


Tommy, Michael, Tina, Rachael, and Nikki were just sitting there watching Jeff, Aaron, and Aster sleep. They were all worried what was going on in their minds and wanted to know really badly. While they were just sitting there, Jeff was soon engulfed in fire, ice, and electricity was going around his body and wind was blowing everywhere. They all jumped back some when this happened and Nikki and Michael were wide eyed.

“What’s going on with Jeff,” Nikki yelled over the wind.

“He must be using his power, quick Rachael; we need to siphon some of his energy from him so he doesn’t destroy the house,” Tommy yelled as he grabbed one of Jeff’s hands.

“Ok, Nikki, Michael, Tina, the three of you just stay there,” Rachael said as she grabbed Jeff’s other hand and they both start siphoning energy off of him.

Pretty soon, everything stopped and they were all relieved at this and they all just stood there looking at them. While they were looking at them, they noticed a white aura around Jeff and soon around Aaron and Aster. Pretty soon, the diamonds on Aaron’s and Aster’s hands were glowing as well and some electricity was starting to come out of them and a small energy shock wave came from both of them and sent Tommy, Michael, Nikki, Rachael, and Tina flying across the room and they landed in different places. They soon got back up with a groan and came back over to where Jeff, Aaron, and Aster were laying. The next thing they saw were the blades on Aaron and Aster starting to recede back into their bodies.

“What just happened?” Michael asked.

“I have no idea,” Rachael said.

“I’m just glad that his parents are gone for the night,” Tina said.

“I think I may know what happened,” Tommy said.

“What do you mean,” Nikki said as they all turned to Tommy.

“I think that Jeff must have used some of his energy to heal Aaron and Aster,” Tommy said.

“That makes sense since all three of them were glowing,” Tina said.

While they were talking, they heard the doorbell on the front door ring. Tommy went to answer it and when he opened the door, he was surprised to see Aaron, Justin, and Kyle standing there.

“What are the three of you doing here and where is Adam,” Tommy said.

“We’re no longer with Adam and we came over here to apologize for what we did on Sunday,” Aaron said.

“Yeah, can we come in,” Kyle said and Tommy thought about this some.

“Sure, why not, after what happened on Sunday, I think you went through enough punishment,” Tommy said as he let them in.

“Thanks Tommy,” Justin said as they walked in.

“Is Jeff here,” Aaron asked.

“Yes, he’s in here and what are the three of you doing here,” Tina said with a sour look on her face.

“We just came here to apologize for our behavior on Sunday,” Kyle said as they walked into the living room.

“Whoa, what happened to Jeff and who are the other dragons,” Justin said.

“They’re friends of ours and it’s kind of hard to explain about Jeff and the other two unconscious dragons,” Rachael said.

“I’m Nikki, this is Michael, and the two unconscious golden dragons over there are Aaron and Aster Wertz,” Nikki said.

“Well, my name is Aaron Harper, this is Justin Shoemaker, and that’s Kyle Smithson,” Aaron said pointing to himself, Justin, and Kyle.

“Hi,” they all said.

While they were talking, they heard Jeff groan and they all looked at him. What they saw next was a black fire appearing on his arm and starting to go downward. Aaron, Justin, and Kyle just starred wide eyed as they saw white scales forming on Jeff’s arm where the fire went down it. The next thing they saw was his hand changing into a dragon’s claw and his fingernails turning a light purple and become razor sharp claws. After his arm got done changing, Aaron, Kyle, and Justin wanted to know what just happened to Jeff and Tommy just calmly explained what happened. After he was done explaining, they just said cool and sat down on the ground. The next thing that happened was the dragon heart crystal that Jeff was wearing started to glow intensely and suddenly stopped. They were amazed by this and just sat there in silence to see what happened next. A few minutes later, the crystal started glowing again along with Jeff’s pendant and the two diamonds on Aaron’s and Aster’s hands. When the light died down, they saw Aaron, Aster, and Jeff starting to move around some and open their eyes. They quickly got up and went over to them. When they opened their eyes, they slowly sat up and looked around.

“Hey Tommy, what are these guys doing here,” Jeff said as he slowly got up from the ground.

“They came over to apologize and they mean it,” Tommy said.

“Well then, I accept your apology,” Jeff said.

“Thanks Jeff,” they all said at once.

“Hey Jeff who are these three guys,” Aaron asked as he and Aster sat up.

“These three are Aaron Harper, Justin Shoemaker, and Kyle Smithson,” Jeff said.

“Well it’s nice to meet you guys,” Aster said as he and Aaron got up.

“It’s nice to meet you two as well,” Kyle said.

“Hey Jeff,” Rachael said as she looked at Jeff.

“What is it Rachael,” Jeff asked.

“Your eyes are different,” she said.

“What do you mean,” he said.

“She means that the eye on the left is a dark purple and the eye on the right is still dark blue,” Tina said.

“That figures,” Jeff said as he looked at his left arm.

“There is also one other thing,” Jeff said.

“What’s that,” Tommy said.

“I saw Jason again,” Jeff said smiling.

“What,” they all said.

Jeff quickly explained what happened with the help of Aaron and Aster. They made sure to leave out the part of seeing Amadeus out. They didn’t want to tell anyone about that part until later. After they were done telling their story, Aaron Harper, Justin, and Kyle said goodbye and left and everybody else just went back to bed. Before Jeff went to bed, he checked to see what time it was and it was almost 2:00 in the morning. He just shrugged and went to bed.
