Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy nearly jumped out o ftheir skin when the dragon talked to them and fell to the floor of the cave with a llud thud. They were all surprised that the dragon talked to them and Jeff pulled out his flashlight from his bag so that they could see well. He was fumbling around with the flashlight while trying to trun it on and finally suceeded and shined the flashlight at the dragon. The dragon was just watching with curiosity while Jeff was doing this and started to blink some when the light hit his face. When they saw the color of the dragon, they were astonished. The dragon was white all over and had a light blue underbelly and dark blue fur on its head. Jeff was trying to place where he had seen that kind of dragon before. He was really trying hard to remember.

"Can you please point that light thing somewhere else please," the dragon said while raising his claw in front of his face.

"You can talk!" Jeff said as he pointed the flashlight somewhere else.

"Yes I can," the dragon said as he lowered his claw.

"But how can you talk, I thought dragons couldn't talk at all," Tommy said.

"Well, as far as I know, all dragons can talk," the dragon said.

"Do you have a name?" Rachael said.

"Yes I do, Rachael, my name is Arnon," Arnon said.

"How do you know my name," Rachael said.

"I heard you three talking outside the cave and heard all of your names," Arnon said.

After a few minutes passed by, Jeff suddenly remembered where he had seen Arnon. He was the same type of dragon that Jeff was in his dream the night before. His jaw just dropped open and his eyes just went wide.

"You're the dragon that was in my dream last night," Jeff said.

"What?" Arnon said with a questionable look on his face.

"What are you talking about Jeff," Tommy said as he and Rachael also looked at Jeff.

"The weird dream that I had last night was one in where I was a dragon, and Arnon here looks just like the dragon in my dream, even down to the wounds that he has," Jeff said.

"Can you tell us about it," Rachael asked.

"Jeff started telling them the dream that he had last night about being a dragon. He explained every last detail of his dream as best as he could. Arnon, Rachael, and Tommy were eagerly listening to the story and were enjoying it. The story took about an hour for Jeff to tell and when he was done everybody was surprised by it, especially Arnon.

"And when I fell asleep in this very cave, Tommy here woke me up," Jeff said.

"Jeff, the dream that you had was what happened to me yesterday," Arnon said.

"What!" Jeff said.

"Yes, you see, those five dragons that attacked you in your dream were the same dragons that attacked me, but for some reason I didn't see any dark aura around them. The only time I have seen that dark aura that you just described  was on my brother," Arnon said.

"Your brother?" Tommy said.

"Yes, you see, years ago my brother and I lost our parents when we were just two years old and left all alone in the world. We thought that we were the only two dragons in the world," Arnon said.

"But those dragons that attacked you must have survived as well," Rachael said.

"No they didn't, my brother and I, along with a close friend of mine, were the only surviving dragons in the world," Arnon said as he looked at the ground and a tear came out of his eye.

"What was your friend's name?" Jeff asked.

"Her name is, or should I say was, Alvarie," Arnon said and started to cry some.

Rachael got up and walked towards Arnon and put her hand on him.

"What happened to her?" Rachael asked.

"I don't know, a few years after our parents died, we went our separate ways," Arnon said.

"Were you two very close," Tommy said.

"Yes we were, we were so close that we could almost know what each other thought by just looking each other in the eye," Arnon said and broke down and started to cry.

"That's kind of how Jeff and I are," Rachael said and smiled a little and Jeff started to blush some and Tommy laughed a little at that.

"How come you two separated," Jeff asked.

"We separated so my brother couldn't find these," Arnon said as he pushed a bag full of stones forward.

"What are so special about those stones? They have been bugging me ever since I had that dream," Jeff said as he got up and walked over to the stones.

"Be careful with those," Arnon said sternly and Jeff jumped back a little.

"Sorry, I didn't know that they meant that much to you," Jeff said.

"It's not that, it's just that those stones hold the souls of some of the most powerful dragons that ever existed," Arnon said.

Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy looked at each other and then at Arnon with a very puzzled look on their faces.

"What do you mean?" Tommy said.

"Well, I guess I should tell you about myself and how those stones came into existence," Arnon said.

Jeff and Rachael went over to where Tommy was and sat back down. Arnon soon started explaining about himself and his brother and friend. He just talked about the three of them for about an hour and soon got to how the stones were created. He told Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy how his parents used their own scales to create about 60 different colored stones that held the souls of dragons. They did so because they were the last dragons on earth. They were hoping to bring their race back into existence with these stones and give them to humans that were willing to become a dragon. All they had to do was crush the stone in their hands and they would change into a dragon. Before his parents could make anymore stones, a group of villagers came up and killed his parents and the parents of his closest friend Alvarie. They did this because they were afraid of what his parents might do to them. His brother and he hid back in the cave while they listened to their parents try to defend themselves to no avail. He then got to the part where his brother, Karayan, became evil and stole all of the stones except for ten. He explained how he and Alvarie used their own energy on the last ten remaining stones. When Arnon was telling his story, he was starting to glow with a white aura and Jeff turned his flashlight off. They soon had to cover their own eyes because of the light aura that Arnon was emitting.

"Do you think you can turn the light down," Jeff asked while still shielding his eyes.

"Sorry about that," Arnon said as his aura dimmed some.

"So the five dragons that attacked you used to be human," Rachael asked.

"Yes they were at one time, my guess is that they found some of the stones that Karayan took, I just don't know how many stones are left," Arnon said.

Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy lowered their arms and started to get up. They walked over to Arnon and Jeff knelt in front of the bag of stones.

"Are these the stones that Karayan left behind?" Jeff asked as Tommy came over and looked at the stones as well.

"Yes they are," Arnon said.

"But there are only eight stones here, What happened to the other two stones?" Tommy asked.

"Alvarie took them and hid them," Arnon said.

"Do you miss her?" Rachael asked.

"I miss her very much, I just hope that she has survived all these years," Arnon said.

"Since we are here, maybe we can help clean up your wounds a little," Jeff said.

While they were talking, Jeff and Rachael got their water bottles out and poured some water onto a couple of rags that they brought to clean sand off of things they found. They started to clean Arnon's wounds and he cringed and growled a little when they started doing this. All three of them jumped back some when Arnon did this and he quickly apologized for doing so. When they were done cleaning up Arnon's wounds as best they could, they asked if Arnon would like to come outside with them. Arnon said sure and slowly got up and followed them outside. Arnon was still limping some because of the wounds but not as badly as the night before. When they got outside, he explained to them that dragons heal quickly and his wounds would be gone in about a day. They were surprised when they heard this and were also glad. They all spent the next couple of hours just having fun and playing in the water some and splashing each other with the water. Arno joined in the fun and spalshed them with his tail. When he did this, all three of them were soaking wet and they just started laughing. Jeff had put his bag and cell phone on the beach while they were playing. Soon enough, the cell phone started to ring and Jeff hurried over and picked it up.

"Hello, hi mom, no, nothing's wrong, we're just having fun. We have to come back now, but why? Oh, its lunchtime, ok, we'll be back there in about ten minutes," Jeff said and hung up the phone.

"I take it that your mom wants us to come back for lunch," Rachael said. as she walked up to Jeff.

"Yep, that's what she said," Jeff said.

"What was that thing that you were talking into?" Arnon asked as he walked up with Tommy.

"It's called a cell phone, my mom just wanted us to come back to the cabin for lunch," Jeff said.

"Does you mom live inside that cell phone thing?" Arnon asked.

"Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy just broke out laughing when Arnon asked this and he was wondering why they were laughing.

"What's so funny," Arnon said.

"His mom doesn't live inside the cell phone," Tommy said as they calmed down laughing.

"Oh," Arnon said.

"She was calling from the other phone at the cabin," Rachael said.

"Okay," Arnon said.

"Listen, we'll try to be back after lunch to play some more, but right now if we don't get back soon, we will probably be in trouble," Jeff said as he was picking up his stuff.

They said goodbye to Arnon for now and started walking back to the cabin. Arnon went back into the cave to get some more rest and this time he had a smile on his face. He was happy that he had finally made some new friends. He had just wished that Alvarie was there with him. When Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy got back to the cabin, Jeff's mom asked why their clothes were all wet and Jeff said that they were having too much fun and forgot to take their clothes off when they went into the water. She just told them to go get changed quickly so that they could eat lunch. When they were done changing into dry clothes they went back downstairs and had hotdogs for lunch. Jeff's parents asked them what they found out on the beach during their walk and if they had any fun. They told his parents what they found and showed them what they had collected. They made sure that they hid the small towels that they took so his parents wouldn't see the blood on them and ask questions on where the blood came from. They also told his parents about this one spot on the beach where a cave was and told them that it was empty. They didn't want to risk exposing their new friend to Jeff's parents just yet. They still had another two weeks before they had to go back home and hoped that they could introduce his parents to Arnon during that time.

"Hey mom, do you mind if we go walking on the beach again after we're done cleaning up," Jeff asked as he was putting his plate in the kitchen sink.

"Not at all, just make sure that the three of you practice your karate some, okay," his mom said.

"Okay," Jeff said.

"And make sure you take your clothes off if you go in the water this time," his dad chimed in.

"We'll make sure," Tommy said as he raced Jeff and Rachael upstairs.

They all changed back into their swimsuits again and raced outside to go meet up with Arnon. When they got back to the cave, they were disappointed that Arnon wasn't in the cave. They started looking around to see where he was when they heard a loud splashe coming from the lake. They Ran out of the cave to the shore and saw Arnon stick his head out of the water. He had a fish in his mouth when he saw Jeff and the others waving at him. He quickly swallowed the fish and started swimming towards the shore to meet them. When they saw Arnon swallo the fish whole, they started to squirm a bit at the sight of it. Arnon noticed this happen when he got closer to the shore and just started to laugh a bit at the sight of them squirming. When he got out of the water, he just started to shake to get the water off of him. Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy had to move out of the way just to avoid getting wet from arnon shaking the water off. They were just laughing the whole time that Arnon was doing this. Even Arnon was laughing a little at it. When Arnon was done drying off, Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy ran up to Arnon with big smiles on their faces.

"So how was lunch," Arnon asked.

"It was good, and I take it that you enjoyed you lunch," Jeff said.

"It was okay, but it was a bit slimy on the way down," Arnon said with a smile.

"Yuck, I could never eat a raw fish," Rachael said.

"Neither can I," Tommy said with a funny face.

They all just started laughing at this and having a good time at it also. When they were done laughing, they just started asking Arnon questions about himself and about the stones. While Arnon was telling them about the stones some more and about himself, Jeff decided to pull out his walkman and listen to some music. He had brought one of his Michael W. Smith tapes and just put his head set on and pressed play. After a few minutes of listening to his music, Rachael noticed and decided to do something about it. She went over to Jeff and slapped him upside the head.

"Why'd you do that for," Jeff said as he rubbed the back of his head with his hand.

"It's kind of rude to listen to music while someone is talking," Rachael said as she sat back down and Tommy was busy laughing at the sight.

"What was that thing that you were listening to?" Arnon asked as he took a closer look at it.

"It's called a walkman, it plays music," Jeff said.

"What were you listening to on it," Arnon asked.

"I was listening an artist called Micahel W. Smith. He's my favorite Artist," Jeff said.

"Do you mind if I listen to some of it?" Arnon asked with a small smile on his face.

"Not at all, just let me turn the volume up some so we can all listen to it," Jeff said as he turned up the volume and pressed play.

The song that was playing was called "Friends" and it was Jeff's favorite song by Michael W. Smith. Arnon was just listening to the song and he started to think about Alvarie and a tear ran down his cheek. He was also thinking if he should really give the stones to them and have their lives change forever or just find someone else to give those stones to. He just didn't know what to do about it. Rachael noticed what Arnon was doing and got up and walked over to him.

"Is everything okay, Arnon?" Rachael asked.

"Oh, everything is okay, that song that was playing just made me think of Alvarie some," Arnon said as he looked at her.

"It seemed that you were thinking of something else as well," Jeff said as he turned his walkman off.

"I was thinking of what to do with those stones," Arnon said.

"What do you mean?" Tommy asked.

"Well, when the three of you were at the entrance of the cave this morning, I searched your hearts and found something that I just couldn't grasp. I started to get a feeling that I ha dcenturies ago when I did this," Arnon said.

"You mean that you want to give the stones to us," Jeff said.

"But why?" Rachael said.

"I don't know why, but my guess is that the emotion that I felt in your hearts was one of great kindness and compassion, my guess was right when you didn't run away in fear when you first saw me in the cave, but just felt sorry for me and just wanted to be friends," Arnon said.

"That's what we do; we usually don't judge people by how they look on the outside, but by how they act. That's how we were raised," Tommy said and they all smiled.

Arnon soon went back to the cave and came back out a few minutes later with the bag of stones. When he put the bag on the ground, they heard a loud roar come from out of nowhere. They looked all over the place to see where the roar was coming from and Jeff, Rahael, and Tommy ran by Arnon just to be safe. Pretty soon another dragon landed right in front of them and it looked almost exactly like Arnon. This one was white but instead of having a light blue underbelly and dark blue wings and fur, it had a light pink underbelly and wings with dark pink fur on its head and tail. Its horns, claws, and spikes were white instead of being pink and looked like a female dragon. She looked straight at them and started walking towards them.

"Get away from him now!" she said loudly at Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy. They all backed away from Arnon slowly and were very scared.

"Alvarie, is that you?" Arnon asked.

"Yes it is, when I saw these three human children around you, I immediately came here to help you," she said as she looked at Arnon and back at Jeff and the others.

"What do you mean? These three children are good friends of mine, they helped me when I was wounded and I was just giving them the stones to protect," Arnon said as Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy slowly walked back by Arnon.

"How can they be trusted, they could be working for you brother," she said.

"I trust them, I searched their hearts and there is no trace of evil inside of them. One of them even dreamed of being attacked by the same dragons that attacked me yesterday. He even saw a dark aura around them that I couldn't see," Arnon said.

Alvarie looked back at the three and looked right into their eyes. She soon started to feel the same sensationthat Arnon felt and apologized to them for the way she acted.

"It's no problem, I probably would've done the same thing if my closest friend was in trouble," Jeff said.

"Thank you, by the way, what are your names," Alvarie said.

"My name is Jeff, this is Rachael, and this is my cousin Tommy," Jeff said as he pointed to Rachael and Tommy.

"It's very nice to finally meet you, Alvarie, Arnon told us all about you," Rachael said.

"It is very nice to meet you also. I am sure that we can be friends as well," Alvarie said.

"I'm sure we can work it out," Tommy said smiling.

They all started to smile and laughed a little. Pretty soon, Arnon and Alvarie were lying down together and talking about what they did over the years and seemed happy together. Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy decided to practice their karate for a while and Arnon and Alvarie just watched in curiosity. They asked what they were doing and they tried their best to explain that they took a self defense class where they lived. After they were done practicing, Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy went over and sat down by Arnon and Alvarie. Jeff picked up the bag of stones and started to look at them. He remembered to try to by very careful with them so he wouldn't crush one by accident. Rachael soon came over and picked up on of the white ones and Jeff picked up the other white stone. The two stones had a light glow to them and that was due to part of Arnon and Alvarie putting some of their energy into them. What they didn't notice was the stone that Rachael was holding had a dark glow to it that quickly vanished. Soon enough, the stone that Rachael was holding was crushed completely and the stone that Jeff was holding was only partially crushed. Jeff quickly dropped it and looked at his hand. Rachael was looking at her hand also. They both tried desperately to brush the dust off of their hands with no avail. They both looked at each other worried and looked over at Arnon, Alvarie and Tommy.

"Wht just happened," Rachael said.

"You crushed the stones, now you are going to turn into a dragon," Arnon said with a bit of worry in his voice.

"But what about me, the stone that I was holding didn't get crushed completely," Jeff said.

"I don't know, we have never watched this happen before," Alvarie said.

When they were still talking, Jeff and Rachael felt their hands starting to hurt and feel like they were on fire. They started wincing their faces in pain when this happened. Soon enough, a white fire encircled Rachael as she started to change. Rachael saw her hands start to change first. Her hands were starting to get covered in scales as her nails turned into white claws and went onto the end of her fingers as they started to grow a little. Scales started to appear everywhere as the fire started to creep around her more. The pain that she felt was excruciating and she just wanted to scream. She tried to scream but couldn't beacause of the fire. Her clothes started to feel tight against her skin as she found out she was starting to get taller. She felt her feet start to change as well as she looked down at them. Two toes on each foot fused together and claws formed on the end of her feet and became digitgrade. Her feet stretched out some also and she was soon standing on the balls of her feet and started to lose her balance. She soon fell onto her hands and knees as the transformation continued. She started to feel something tugging at her pants and she looked at the back of her pants and saw a mall bulge there. She closed her eyes as a tail erupted from her back and tore her pants to shreds. The tail grew to be about five feet long. She than started to feel her back hurting as two arms ripped through her shirt. They grew some as the fingers started to elongate and a dark pink membrane fromed in between the fingers to form wings. She had a wing span of about fourteen feet as she tried flapping them some. The next part of the transformtion was her neck and face as the flames and scales started to climb up her body. They all just watched in horror as this was happening to Rachael. Rachael could feel her neck starting to lengthen some as she groaned at this. Her neck was now about two feet in length as the last part of the transformation started.

She closed her eyes as she felt her face start to push out into a dragonic muzzle as the scales and fire covered her head. Her nose used with her mouth as two slits formed on the end of her muzzle. She soon felt her eyes start to hurt some as they changed as well. Her teeth started to change as well and became sharper. On her back, white spikes formed from the base of her head down to her tail. While she was transforming, she felt a dark presence enter her mind and just diasppeared. Pretty soon her transformaiong was over and she just laid on the ground breathing. All that was left of her clothes was just her swimsuit that she wore under her shirt and pants. Soon Jeff started to feel his head starting to hurt as he grabbed it. He didn't know how he was going to change, but he could feel his eyes burn some and his whole body lengthen some as he fell to his knees. His muscles swelled a little as well and he could feel some new knowledge entering his mind. He even felt a small burning and reezing sensation in his chest. Whe the transformations wes done, Tommy quickly ran to Jeff's side.

"Jeff are you okay," Tommy said as he put his hand on Jeff's shoulder.

As soon as he touched Jeff's shoulder, Tommy was shocked by some electricity.

"Ouch!" Tommy yelled as he pulled his hand back.

"Yeah, I'm okay, are you okay," Jeff said.

"Yeah, it's just tha tyou somehow shocked me," Tommy said.

"Sorry about that, can you help me up so we can check to see if she's alright," Jeff said.

"I hope she is, I don't even know if she would remember us," Tommy said as he helped Jeff up and they both walked over to Rachael.

"Rachael, are you still you?" Jeff asked.

"Yeah, I'm still here, I just don't think I'm ready for this," Rachael said.

She soon got up and looked at herself; she looked just like Alvarie form the white scales down to the pink underbelly. She was also about six feet tall now instead of her regular height. The only difference was that she didn't have horns or have fur on her tail and her hair was still the same blonde color with a little bit of pink throughout it. She also noticed that her clothes were destroyed and was only wearing her swimsuit and started to blush some. She soon groaned a little as a pair of pink horns grew out of her head as her hair starts to turn into a pink mane as the rest of her hair became pinnk. She soon grew pink spikes down her back as she didn't get any fur on the tip of her tail. Tommy and Jeff also blushed some and Jeff handed her one of the beach towels. She took the towel and noticed the Jeff's eyes were different. Jeff also noticed that he was about 5'5" now instead of 4'10".

"Hey Jeff, do you know that your eyes changed," Rachael said as she wrapped her towel around herself.

"What do you mean," Jeff said.

"Here, look in the mirror that I brought," Rachael said as she walked over to her bag and pulled out a small compact mirror and handed it to Jeff.

Jeff took the mirror and opened it. What he saw next was his eyes were completely different. They were no longer human eyes but were dragon eyes. They were slit instead of round and the color had changed from hazel to dark blue. He was surprised that only his eyes had changed and not the rest of him like Rachael. He looked back at Rachael and looked at her eyes.

"Your eyes have changed as well," Jeff said.

"What color are they," Rachael said.

"They're now green instead of being blue," Tommy said as he came closer.

Arnon and Alvarie came walking over while they were talking and they looked over at them.

"Can you two explain why Jeff didn't change into a dragon like Rachael did," Tommy asked.

"I don't really know, my best guess is that the stone that he was holding didn't get crushed completely," Alvarie said.

"Well, that kind of explains it," Jeff said as he walked over to the half crushed white stone and picked it up.

When he did, he felt a sneeze coming on and turned away to sneeze.

"Achoo," Jeff sneezed and a small torrent of flame came out of his mough and burned some grass. He was surprised by this as well as Tommy and Rachael. Tommy was just watching wide eyed at this and soon snapped out of his stare.

"I guess you got a little something extra besides the dragon eyes and electricity," Tommy said.

"What do you mean?" Jeff said.

"When I touched your shoulder, I got shocked, I guess you can generate electricity like Arnon can," Tommy said.

"I guess you're right, I did feel a slight burning and freezing sensation in my chest while that white fire was around me," Jeff said.

As he was talking, he felt a slight cooling sensation on one hand and a slight burning sensation on his other hand. He also felt a slight buzzing sensation on both hands and around his body. Everybody was just looking at him in wonder and he was wondering why. He looked at his hands and found out why. One hand was engulfed in fire and electricity and the other hand was covered in an ice mist and electricity. He also noticed that his whole boyd was surrounded by electricity and just circling around him.

"I guess that explains what else I got," Jeff said as he concentrated some to make the stuff stop.

"Since you and Rachael crushed both of the white rocks, you should probably have the same abilities," Arnon said.

"Why don't you try doing it," Alvarie said.

"Okay," Rachael said and she closed her eyes and started concentrating.

Soon enough, her body was covered in electricity, and her hands were covered in an ice mist and fire. She then stopped doing it and turned towards Tommy and the others.

"Tommy, are you going to crush one of the stones," Rachael asked.

"I'm not going anywhere near those stones," Tommy said as he backed up.

"I think that's a good idea, but we still have a problem though," Jeff said.

"What's that," Alvarie asked.

"How are we going to tell my parents that their son is now part dragon and his friend is a dragon," Jeff said as he pointed to himself and Rachael.

"And how do you think my parents will take it having a dragon for a daughter," Rachael said.

"How do you think they'll take it that we know two dragons," Tommy said and pointed towards Arnon and Alvarie.

"We'll just have to figure it out," Jeff said and they all started to think of what to do.
