The Dragon Crew Part 8

Tommy and Rachael soon woke up and were wondering what had just happened as they got up and looked at each other. They soon started looking around and noticed that it was snowing and snow was practically everywhere they looked. They also noticed that they were in what looked like the mountains and were starting to wonder how they got there. While they were trying to think of how they got there, they realized that Jeff wasn’t with them and started looking for him.

“Hey Tommy do you know how we got here and where we are,” Rachael asked as they were looking for Jeff.

“I don’t know how we got here; the last thing I remember was siphoning black electricity from Jeff and a flash a light. As for where we are, I think that we might be in the Rockies, though I’ve never seen anything like that,” Tommy said as he pointed to a cave that looked like it wasn’t natural.

As they were looking around, Tommy noticed a body lying a few yards from the cave. It looked like it was dragged there and he soon noticed that it was Jeff.

“Hey, that’s Jeff lying there,” Tommy said and started running to him.

“You’re right that is him,” Rachael said as she ran right behind him.

When they got to Jeff, they noticed that he was still unconscious and his shirt looked like it had gone through the shredder some because there were claw marks on a couple of places. They soon heard him groan and saw him moving. They knelt down beside him and helped him sit up.

“Oh my aching head, did anybody get the license plate number of the truck that hit me,” Jeff said as he sat up rubbing his head.

“Take it easy Jeff, you’ve been through a lot,” Rachael said.

“Well, at least he still has his sense of humor,” Tommy said smiling.

“What happened and where are we. The last thing I remember is a searing pain in my left shoulder,” Jeff said as he started to get up.

“I think you somehow teleported us to the Rockies,” Tommy said as he helped Jeff up.

“How did I do that,” Jeff said as he stood up shakily.

“We don’t know, but before that happened, you were enveloped in a dark aura and your eyes were glowing also,” Rachael said.

“My only guess is that my wound has something to do with this,” Jeff said.

“What do you mean,” Tommy said.

“Before I gave you and Tina those pendants, I looked at my wound which is now covered in scales and it was giving off a faint dark glow,” Jeff said.

“Do you think Karayan is behind this,” Rachael said.

“Yes I do, I think it’s because he just doesn’t want you still Rachael, but me as well,” Jeff said.

“What do you mean,” Rachael said.

“It’s a long story, but I think it’s because I have a power within me that he wants to control, don’t you think so Tommy,” Jeff said as he looked at Tommy.

“What power,” Rachael said with a strange look on her face.

“Yeah, I guess it is time to let her know,” Tommy said.

“Remember what Arnon’s dad said,” Jeff said.

“Yeah I remember,” Rachael said.

“Well I guess it’s about time I tell what he meant by that,” Jeff said as he sat back down.

Tommy and Rachael sat down as well and Jeff started telling them about that power inside of him. Tommy knew about it only slightly. He started back when they first found Arnon in that cave and when he had that strange dream. He then got to the part where the stone he partially crushed. While the white fire was around him, he felt something flow into him besides the soul of Arnon’s dad. For some reason he also got new knowledge on what it was and he guessed that it was locked away somewhere inside of him. He just didn’t know about it until about three years later when one of his and Tommy’s uncle died.

“I remember that day, the three of us were close,” Tommy said.

“I know, but I guess you can say that I was a bit closer to him than you were,” Jeff said.

“Tell me about it, you were devastated when he died,” Tommy said.

“What happened?” Rachael asked.

“Do you think you can tell her this part Tommy, I’ll fill in the later part,” Jeff said.

Tommy soon explained what happened. It was the day of the funeral that it happened. When he got to the funeral home it was clear and sunny outside and the weather reports did say that it was going to be sunny all day. When Jeff and his parents got there, for some reason it became cloudy outside and started raining. After the funeral was over, the rain outside was harder and it was hailing as well. There was also lightning and thundering outside. Tommy looked over at Jeff and just saw him taking their uncle’s death very hard and wasn’t crying. For some reason he just broke down crying and ran outside. His parents and John and Stacey ran after him, but when Jeff opened the door to run outside, a strong gust of wind came in and knocked almost everybody down. Jeff being the only one still standing just ran outside, not being affected by the wind or anything. While everybody was getting up, Tommy just ran outside after Jeff and followed him. Tommy guessed that Jeff had something to do with the weather, even if he knew it or not. Jeff came in where Tommy left off.

Jeff said that he just kept running and running from the funeral home and didn’t stop until he got to the woods. He just climbed up into a tree and sat there and was still crying. For some reason, the rain was just coming down in buckets where he was and was also hailing and blowing real hard, bending the trees some. The only tree that wasn’t affected was the one that Jeff was sitting in. The rain and hail wasn’t even touching the tree or him for that matter. He didn’t notice because he was still crying. He soon heard Tommy calling his name and looked down on the ground and saw him standing there. He said that he was still crying some when he saw Tommy and Tommy started to climb the tree. When he got up to where Jeff was, the wind suddenly kicked up more and a broken branch from another tree hit Tommy in the back of the head and got knocked unconscious. Tommy soon started to fall and Jeff grabbed his arm and was hanging onto the branch for dear life. They were both about forty feet off the ground and Jeff was losing his grip on the tree as well as Tommy. The wind wasn’t helping much either, the wind just started blowing at them as well and bending the tree.

Jeff said that he didn’t know what to do, Arnon and Alvarie were back in their cave and their parents didn’t know where they were. Soon enough he had lost his grip on the tree branch and they both started flying away because of the gall force winds were blowing them towards another tree. Jeff said that he closed his eyes and didn’t know what to do. While his eyes were closed, he felt something grab him and lost his grip on Tommy. He opened his eyes to find that he wasn’t flying sideways toward the tree anymore, but instead going up in the sky above the trees. He looked to his left and found Tommy next to him but was still unconscious. He was wondering how they were flying and looked down at the hand that was holding him and found out that it was covered in white scales and had white claws. He turned his head to see who or what was holding them and his eyes just went wide. What was holding them was a white anthro dragon with blue markings on it and was flying. The dragon just looked down at him and smiled softly and looked forward again. Jeff also said that for some reason he got a calming sensation from the dragon and when he calmed down the storm that was going on around them dissipated instantly. After a few minutes of flying, the dragon landed and put them down. Tommy was starting to come around and Jeff was glad. He turned back to the dragon and asked where he came from and all the dragon did was knelt down in front of him and put his hand on his shoulder and looked right in his eyes. The color of the dragon’s eyes was an unearthly light blue and just seemed to sparkle. He just smiled again and said everything was going to be alright and said that he should just let it go sometimes and that he would be with him always and disappeared in a flash of light. He heard Tommy say something and went over to him and helped him up. They looked around and noticed that they were back at the funeral home and just started walking over to it. They saw the door swing open and their parents ran out and just hugged them and asked if they were alright. Tommy had to go to the hospital to get his head checked out and of course had a concussion.

“And that’s what happened that day,” Jeff said.

“That’s incredible,” Rachael said.

“Pretty much, I still wonder to this day who that dragon was and where he came from,” Tommy said.

“You saw him also,” Jeff said.

“Yeah, I vaguely saw him when I was starting to wake up, but I didn’t see him disappear,” Tommy said.

“I guess that was the first element dragon you created without knowing it,” Rachael said.

“I guess so, I have never told that story to anyone except to Arnon and Alvarie,” Jeff said.

“Not even your parents,” Rachael said surprised.

“Especially not them, I wanted to try to control it before I told them. When we met Arnon’s parents, I recognized his dad right away,” Jeff said.

“What do you mean,” Tommy said.

“Arnon’s dad was the dragon that saved us,” Jeff said.

“But how is that possible,” Rachael said.

“I don’t know, I guess he manifested himself as an element anthro dragon through my powers,” Jeff said.

“That’s kind of cool, and on the eye thing, you had the same color of eyes as he did when you defeated those dragons,” Tommy said.

“What color are they now,” Jeff said.

“They’re back to their original color,” Tommy said as he looked at Jeff’s eyes.

“That’s good to know,” Jeff said with a sigh of relief.

While they were talking, they didn’t notice two black dragons standing in the entrance of the cave. They soon started walking towards them and one of the dragons said something that got their attention immediately.

“What a touching sssstory, it makessss me nausssseoussss,” the dragon said, who was female. The three of them jumped up at this.

“Who are you two?” Rachael said.

“I’m asssstonisssshed that you don’t know who I am,” the other dragon said, who was male.

“I take it that you must be Karayan, Arnon’s brother,” Tommy said as he pointed at him.

“Yessss I am Karayan,” he said.

“And who is this,” Rachael said as she pointed to the female dragon.

“My name is Sssshyama,” she said.

“Shyama, that’s a befitting name for you,” Rachael said sarcastically.

“I guess you can’t choose them all, huh Karayan,” Tommy said.

“You sssshould hold your tongue young dragon,” Karayan said angrily.

“Enough of this now are you the ones that brought us here,” Jeff shouted and pointed at Karayan.

“Yessss we are,” Shyama said.

“Why,” Rachael said.

“Well, we were only planning on getting the half breed here becausssse of the power that he hasss insssside of him, but we were very pleassssed that we got the two of you assss well,” Karayan said.

“But how do you know about me,” Jeff said.

“We ssssaw you fight the five dragonssss and witnessssed the power that you unleasssshed,” Shyama said.

“I already know who you two are, but who issss thissss other dragon here,” Karayan said as he looked at Tommy.

“Oh sorry about that, you may not recognize me right now, but I also fought those dragons with my cousin here,” Tommy said smiling.

“You’re that one child that didn’t transsssform when you found my brother,” Karayan said astonished.

“Yep, I had just transformed before you two up and kidnapped the three of us,” Tommy said.

“I guess that puts a damper on your plans,” Rachael said.

“It doessss not matter now, ssssince I have him here, my planssss will go on,” Karayan said as he looked at Jeff.

“What do you mean?” Jeff said with a worried look on his face.

“We had you infected with darknessss when you were unconsssscious,” Shyama said with a very wicked smile on her face.

“So that’s what that dragon did to me,” Jeff said angrily.

“Now when the darknessss takessss over, we will be able to take thissss world assss our own,” Karayan said and Jeff just got angry at this.

A dark aura soon started to envelop Jeff as he was just standing there with an angry look on his face and his hands in fists.

“No you can’t,” Rachael said.

“You won’t get away with this,” Tommy said.

“It lookssss like we already have, look at your friend,” Karayan said and both Tommy and Rachael gasped when they saw Jeff.

“Jeff what’s happening to you,” Tommy said worriedly.

“I just can’t let them do this, I can’t let them hurt any more innocent people,” Jeff said as the dark aura around intensified some and wind started to come from him.

“Jeff, you need to calm down before you lose control to the darkness,” Rachael said as she stepped towards him.

“But Karayan made so many people suffer when he took those stones from Arnon and they found those stones. He needs to pay for what he did to them,” Jeff said as fire, electricity, and ice started to encircle his body and clouds started to form above them. The elements that were going around Jeff was not black this time, but they were their regular colors. All this time Karayan and Shyama was just smiling at this.

“Jeff, listen to yourself, this isn’t you talking, it’s the darkness that they put inside of you,” Tommy said as he grabbed Jeff’s arm.

“Let go of me,” Jeff said as he pulled away from Tommy and punched him in the stomach.

Tommy fell on his knees when Jeff did this and went skidding backwards some. Jeff just grabbed his head in pain and fell on his knees as well.

“Tommy I think we’re too late,” Rachael said as she helped Tommy up off of the ground.

“I think you’re right,” Tommy said.

Soon enough, wind started blowing fiercely and it started to snow again. To make matters worse there was lightning going everywhere from Jeff as he lowered his hands and stood back up. He looked over at Rachael and Tommy and they were very worried because of the look in his eyes. The color of his eyes also changed again and was a dark purple instead of a dark blue. He was also smiling as he let out a burst of wind and knocked them both on the ground. They just looked back at him as he let out a loud draconic roar and fire, ice, and electricity engulfed him. The fire wasn’t white like before, but was just plain red fire. The only problem was that the column of fire, ice, and electricity went straight up into the air and the ground was shaking. All they could do was watch in horror as Jeff started to change. Karayan and Shyama were still smiling at the scene. While the column of elements was still spinning, they could still hear a roar coming from the middle of it along with what sounded like bones cracking and popping.  Pretty soon they saw a large dragon claw come out of the column followed by another one that hit the ground with a loud thud. Soon enough the column dissipated and standing there in Jeff’s place was a very large white dragon with a dark aura around it. The strange thing about it was that the scutes on its underbelly were blue on one side and purple on the other side. The dragon looked like it was bigger than Karayan and Shyama and that had Tommy and Rachael worried.

The dragon opened its eyes and they looked like they were lifeless, even more lifeless than Karayan’s eyes looked. The dragon looked like it was about forty to forty-five feet in length if not longer and about fifteen feet in height. The dragon soon walked over to Karayan and Shyama and bowed to them.

“I have taken over thissss humanssss body,” the dragon said.

“Good, what name have you chossssen for yoursssself,” Karayan said pleased.

“My name issss now Erebussss,” he said.

“Good, welcome to our clan,” Shyama said smiling.

“Thank you my massssterssss, what issss it you want me to do firsssst,” Erebus said as he got back up.

“Take care of thesssse two dragonssss sssso we can make them part of our clan,” Karayan said.

“Yessss my masssster,” Erebus said and turned towards Tommy and Rachael.

“There issss one other thing you need to know masssster,” Erebus said.

“And what issss that,” Karayan said.

“There issss another dragon,” Erebus said and both Rachael and Tommy got a very worried look on their faces.

“Really now,” Karayan said with a raised eye ridge and a smile.

“Where and who issss it,” Shyama asked.

“Her name issss Tina and sssshe issss thissss one dragon’ssss girlfriend,” Erebus said as he pointed his head towards Tommy.

“Than go and bring her to ussss, along with my brother’ssss two children” Karayan ordered.

“Yessss masssster,” Erebus said as dark energy started to encircle him and he disappeared in a bright flash.

“Jeff please don’t do it,” Tommy yelled as Erebus disappeared.

About 10 minutes later Erebus returned with Tina in his mouth and Amethyst and Zeiss in his tail. He threw them down towards Rachael and Tommy and the three of them were unconscious. They knelt down by them to see if they were alright and Tina was starting to come around some.

“Tina, are the three of you alright,” Tommy said as he picked her up some.

“He just came out of nowhere and attacked us for no reason. He first took Arnon and Alvarie out with a fire attack and went after me and Amethyst and Zeiss,” Tina said and soon blacked out again.

“I can’t believe that he did this,” Rachael said and they heard Erebus turning around towards them.

They both just looked very worried when Erebus turned towards them and was smiling wickedly. He slowly started walking towards them and they just started to back up some, wondering what to do. As he was walking towards them, he started to emit electricity, fire, and ice around him and wind started to blow intensely. The clouds above them started to churn also and it looked like they were starting to spread as far as the eye could see. Lightning was coming from the clouds and so was thunder and it didn’t help much when it started raining and hailing. It almost looked like funnels were starting to form around them as well and soon enough the funnels touched down and turned into ice tornadoes. Tommy and Rachael looked around at what was happening and was hoping that it wasn’t affecting the whole world. Soon enough, fire erupted around them and soon formed into element dragons of every size and color imaginable. There were anthro dragons, dragontaurs, and quadruped dragons around them and were also smiling wickedly. When this was happening, other dragons were coming out of the cave and were standing behind Karayan and Shyama. Tommy and Rachael looked over at them and recognized five of the dragons as the ones that attacked them and they were talking to Karayan.

“Masssster, pleassssse let ussss attack them,” the blue anthro dragon said.

“Yessss masssster pleasssse,” the gold anthro dragon said and Rachael noticed that this one was female.

“No! You five already had your chance to capture them and bring them to ussss before,” Karayan said angrily and they backed away.

“But masssster,” the green dragon said.

“Ssssilence,” Shyama said and the green dragon quickly stopped talking.

“We are going to let Erebussss have hissss chance of bringing thesssse five to our clan, now if the five of you do not be ssssilent, you will be banisssshed from thissss clan,” Karayan said.

The five dragons quietly and quickly backed away and were disappointed by the turn of events. Tommy and Rachael were wondering what was going on over there and soon concentrated their attention back Erebus and his element dragons.

“What are we going to do now,” Tommy said.

“What do you think, we need to find a way to get Jeff back to his old self,” Rachael said.

“But how, you’re the only one besides Jeff that can control fire, ice, and electricity and he can also control wind,” Tommy said.

“I think you can also, remember that you also siphoned off some of the dark electricity from Jeff,” Rachael said.

“That’s right, but how do I do it,” Tommy said.

“All you have to do is concentrate,” Rachael said as fire, ice, and electricity started to surround her.

“Okay,” Tommy said and started to concentrate.

Soon enough fire, ice, and electricity were all around him as well and he was amazed by it. He had to cut it short when one of the element dragons attacked them. They both dodged but they tried to make sure to protect Tina, Amethyst, and Zeiss. Tommy just turned around and grabbed the dragon by the tail and started twirling him around and soon tossed him into the other element dragons. Soon enough, the rest of the element dragons started to attack them savagely and they just had to dodge them as best they could. Tommy suffered some scratches to his arms and legs as well as his wings and Rachael had the same wounds as well. Pretty soon the dragons had Rachael pinned down to a nearby rock and Tommy was trying to desperately get to her while still protecting the others. While he was doing so, he heard a roar from behind him and turned around. What he saw next was a giant white tail coming towards him and he tried to dodge it as best he could. He was to late when the tail hit him in his midsection with enough force to send him flying backwards. He hit the ground with a thud and the next thing he knew, a giant claw had pinned him down and he looked up to see that he was staring into the face of Erebus.

“Why are you doing this Jeff,” Tommy said as he tried to get out from under him.

“Don’t call me by that pathetic human name anymore, my name issss Erebussss now,” Erebus said through barred teeth.

“That’s not your name, your name is Jeffrey Hunyor, you’re my cousin,” Tommy said back.

“I HAVE NO RELATION TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSSSSE!” Erebus shouted in Tommy’s face.

“Please don’t do this, you need to remember who you are,” Rachael said.

“You sssstay out of thissss, after I take care of him, you’re next,” Erebus said.

“Please, I need more power,” Tommy said quietly and his pendant started to glow some.

“Nothing or no one can help you now, after I take care of the five of you, I will take care of your pathetic friendssss and family,” Erebus said.

Tommy soon got mad when he heard this and started to feel new power flowing through him. He looked at Erebus as electricity started to flow around him and he soon had wind coming from him also. Erebus’s eyes went wide when he noticed this and Tommy just let out a loud draconic roar as a large amount of electricity and wind was sent everywhere and sent Erebus flying backwards.  It was almost like a shockwave when Tommy did this as the element dragons were sent flying as well and Rachael just fell to the ground, exhausted. Erebus was sent flying into the side of the cliff and hit the ground with a loud thud. Karayan and Shyama were just staring wide eyed when this happened. He started to get up, when all of a sudden, he felt something grab his right and left forelegs. He looked at them and saw that they were stuck to the ground with what looked like rock was holding it. He looked up at Tommy and saw him just walking towards him, all this time emitting a white aura. Rachael just looked in awe at Tommy as he walked past her. Very soon, Erebus was being tied down to the ground with rock that Tommy was somehow controlling and he was starting to get very angry. He looked up at Tommy and saw him with his hand out towards him and still had a white aura around him and his eyes were also glowing as well.

“Let me go now,” Erebus said angrily.

“No, not until I get my cousin back,” Tommy said.

“I will never let him go, now let me go or I’ll,” he said angrily, but was cut off when a ring of ice went around his mouth.

“Now you listen to me, you attacked your own family for no reason and almost killed Arnon and Alvarie and kidnapped Tina, Amethyst, and Zeiss. Then you come back here and attack me and Rachael. Now didn’t you make a promise to Arnon and Alvarie not to let anything happen to them and to help protect them,” Tommy said as he let the ice ring come of off Erebus’s mouth and let the rock clamps off of his body.

“No I never,” Erebus started to say.

“TELL ME THAT YOU REMEMBER THAT PROMISE,” Tommy shouted right in Erebus’s face.

“I…. I….,” Erebus said as he turned away from Tommy, his dark aura slowly diminishing.

“SAY IT,” Tommy shouted again.

“I remember ok, I remember that sssstupid promisssse,” Erebus said.

As soon as he said that, he grabbed his head in pain as the dark aura disappeared completely disappeared and a white aura appeared. While this was happening, the clouds above them started to disappear as well along with the ice tornadoes. It stopped snowing as sun started to come through the clouds, lighting up the sky. Rachael noticed that the element dragons started to disappear as well as she watched Erebus was holding his head in agony. Pretty soon, everything went quiet as Erebus was just lying there not moving at all, but still breathing. After a few minutes passed by, he started to open his eyes again and move around some. Tommy noticed that Erebus’s eyes were dark blue again instead of purple and was glad.

“You in there, Jeff,” Tommy said as he knelt down.

“Yeah I’m here, what happened, all I remember was seeing Karayan and that one dragon and everything going black,” Jeff said as he started to get up.

“Let’s just say that you kind of went berserk and went on a rampage,” Tommy said as he stood back up.

“What do you mean, and why are you so small?,” Jeff said as he looked down at Tommy.

“Let’s just say you went through a big change,” Rachael said as she walked over to them, holding her left arm.

“What happened to the two of you, and what the heck happened to me,” Jeff said as he looked at Rachael and Tommy and back at himself.

“When the darkness overtook you, you changed into what you are now, disappeared and came back a few minutes later with Tina, Amethyst, and Zeiss,” Tommy said.

“I WHAT!” Jeff yelled.

“Blame it all on them,” Rachael said as she pointed towards Karayan and Shyama. The two of them started to get a very worried look on their faces as the dragons behind them started to back away into the cave.

“You did this to me, I can’t believe you made me attack my friends and family,” Jeff said as he turned towards them and started walking toward them.

While he was walking, a column of red fire surrounded him again and they started to hear bones cracking and reshaping again. When the column of fire dissipated, Tommy and Rachael were amazed that Jeff was back to his old self again. Karayan and Shyama were astonished by this and became very angry.

“Look what you have done, you sssstupid dragon,” Karayan yelled at Tommy and blew a stream of fire at them.

Jeff jumped in front of the flame and used what energy he had left to form a wind wall. He was starting to be pushed backwards by the force of the attack and yelled for Tommy and Rachael to get out of the way. The next thing he knew, a black tail came through the flame and hit Jeff with such force that he went flying backwards. Tommy and Rachael jumped out of the way when Jeff went flying towards them. Jeff hit a boulder and they all could hear some ribs crack when Shyama attacked him. All she was doing was smiling at the scene. Tommy and Rachael ran over to Jeff and helped him up off the ground. When he was getting up, he was coughing some and a little bit of blood came out of his mouth.

“Jeff are you okay,” Rachael said.

“No I’m not, I think I broke some ribs,” he said.

“Yeah, we could hear them crack when Shyama hit you with her tail,” Tommy said.

Jeff fell back down on one knee in pain and Tommy and Rachael went down as well to help him. Jeff soon looked up went wide eyed. He pushed Tommy and Rachael out of the way as they say a black claw come down on Jeff. Jeff used his left arm to block it along with a wind wall. When Karayan’s claw hit Jeff’s left arm, the wall of wind broke and he could hear his left arm break from the force of the blow. He screamed in pain as he used his right arm to do a small electrical attack on Karayan. Rachael screamed and also used and electrical attack on Karayan and sent him flying backwards. She rushed over to Jeff and helped him back up again, being careful not to touch his broken arm. Tommy came over to them as well, holding his right arm.

“We’ve got to get out of here,” Tommy said.

“But how, Jeff’s tapped out and I don’t know how to make a portal and I don’t know if Jeff does either,” Rachael said as they started to walk over to Tina, Amethyst, and Zeiss.

“I remember how to make a portal, I just need to borrow some energy from you guys,” Jeff said weakly.

“Are you sure Jeff,” Tommy said.

“Yeah I’m sure,” Jeff said.

When they got to the others, they could see them starting to wake up.  When Tina sat up and saw Jeff, Rachael, and Tommy, she nearly screamed as she got up and ran towards Tommy and hugged him. He winced in pain and told her to take it easy. She apologized and backed off some and asked what happened to them. They gave her the very short version and she went wide eyed as she looked at them. Pretty soon, Amethyst and Zeiss woke up and started crying because of what happened. Jeff just knelt down and hugged them both and said everything would be alright.

“You guys ready for this,” Jeff said as he got back up painfully.

“Yeah, but are you ready,” Tina said worriedly.

“Yes I am, just make sure you don’t touch any wounded spots,” Jeff said.

They agreed and put their hands on Jeff’s shoulders and started concentrating. Pretty soon, a white aura appeared around them and went into Jeff. He opened his eyes again and they were glowing white. When this happened, wind started to blow from somewhere in front of them and a portal appeared in front of them in a flash of light. When the light faded, they saw a portal in front of them and saw Jeff’s back yard. They also saw Arnon and Alvarie lying there and everybody just looking at the portal. They soon heard a roar coming from behind them and were very worried. They could hear everybody on the other side of the portal yelling at them to jump through.

“GET GOING NOW, I DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN KEEP THIS OPEN!” Jeff shouted as the portal shrunk some.

“But what about you,” Rachael said.

“Just go, I’ll be right behind you,” Jeff said.

They reluctantly said okay and let go of Jeff. Tommy and Tina went over and picked Amethyst and Zeiss and jumped into the portal. Rachael went over to the portal and looked back at Jeff. He just told her to go and she soon jumped through. Before Jeff could go through the portal, Karayan attacked him and he had to jump out of the way. Once he did this though, the portal closed completely and Jeff didn’t have anywhere to go as he got back up off the ground, pain shooting through him.

“There issss no where elsssse to go now, young dragon,” Karayan said with an evil grin on his face.

“I take it that you won’t let me live right,” Jeff said.

“No, we are going to make ssssure that you will never be able to go back to your old sssself,” Shyama said.

“Well, you’re going to have to kill me first,” Jeff said as he got an idea.

“Ssssuit yoursssself,” Karayan said as he let out a black flame at Jeff.

Jeff raised his right hand and blocked the attack and started to absorb it. He was starting to get shots of pain again as the energy started to flow through him. Karayan and Shyama were astonished by this as Karayan stopped the attack. Jeff soon looked up at them and shot a small burst of flame at them. After this happened, he turned around and created another portal. He was about to go through it when he heard another roar and turned around. What he saw next was a wall of black flame coming towards him. He raised his right arm to block it and when it hit him, he went flying backwards through the portal. The next thing he knew, he was falling through the air above his house. He didn’t know what to do as he started to black out from all of the energy that he used up. He soon felt something grab him as he wasn’t falling anymore. He opened his eyes some and saw his pendant glowing and also saw a familiar face looking down at him, smiling. He smiled some and just blacked out completely.
